· Carolyn Nowlin who proofreads the bulletin.

· Joyce Lehman who orders new Sunday School material and sorts and files the unused.

· Helen Burkholder, Betty Hertzler, Janis Ranck,  and Bertha and Sheila Schaefer who provide a flower arrangement for the front of the auditorium each week.

· The sound technicians (Scott Cloud, Jerry Critcher, Luke Landis, Ivan Lehman, Miles & Steven Pruett, and Aaron Schaefer) who run the overhead,  projectors, sound equipment and tape the messages.

· The ushers (Carl Duncan, Joe Lancaster, Ben Powell, Shane Stoner, John Spiller, and Dickie Walton) who hand out bulletins, welcome visitors, take up offering, adjust the temperature, and find seats and books for all.

These persons are vital to the smooth running of our church on a weekly basis.  They often spend hours behind the scene, faithfully fulfilling their duties.  We notice and we take this opportunity to say thank-you for all you do.

Letter from Eastern Mennonite missions…….

                                            sent to supporting congregations

November 2005

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your generous gift to the ministry of Eastern Mennonite Missions.  Your gift makes a difference in the lives of  people around the world.  In this season of thankfulness and gratitude, it is appropriate for us to take a moment to thank you for your gift to EMM.

Since 1911, Eastern Mennonite Missions has relied on the generous gift of friends like you.  Through each of you doing what you are able, we have used over $114 million in gifts to share the good news of Jesus Christ, particularly in places where the church is weak or nonexistent.  What an investment in the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

But that only counts the financial resources that we have stewarded.  We have also received millions of hours of time given to the Lord for his direction.  From young and old alike, these hours have been given in love, with the desire to bring people to Jesus Christ.

Thankfully, we have also been the beneficiary of innumerable prayers for God’s work around the world.  Just as we rely on friends for financial support, we also rely on you for prayer support. Whether as missionaries on the field, administrators in the office, or support teams back home, we rely on the prayers of God’s people for wisdom, discernment, courage, and strength.

Thank you so much for the ways you have been involved in supporting the work of the Lord through Eastern Mennonite Missions.  We will never be able to calculate the value of finances, time and prayers offered on EMM’s behalf, but our heavenly Father knows them all.  We pray that he will bless you as you continue to be involved in his kingdom.

Gratefully,

EASTERN MENNONITE MISSIONS
