From the Pastor’s
Heart.....
" A good harvest is not the achievement of endless toil, but it is the result of God's blessing" NIV footnoteDuring the last number of years I have been writing down
sayings, thoughts, Bible verses and anything that "strikes" me as I
read or listen to others. I jot them down on small pieces of paper and tape them
together on my goulash hanging on the wall. I often glance over to the wall and
reminisce. You see, I believe that they are from God. They are sent by Him for
that moment in life when I need to hear Him. They are given to me when I need to
hear a word of grace, admonition, encouragement, or challenge to remain
faithful. But what excites me the most is just looking at this paper mess
hanging on the wall and knowing that there is a living God with whom I have
fellowship. It is real! It's no game or made up illusion. It's not because I'm
deserving of this honor but it is only His goodness and grace to me. As you walk
through this life, jot down things that God is using to speak to you. They
create quite a legacy of God's love and faithfulness to you, His child. If you
have a minute, sneak into the pastor's study; you won't have any trouble
spotting my paper mess hanging on the wall. Sit down and read away. It’ll
bless you. . By Tim Kennell |
