PMC Facility Plans

With much prayer and discussion the Spiritual Leadership Team, along with the Facilities Team, has been working to evaluate our needs and to develop a plan for some short and long-term remodeling/addition options and phases. 

The following are areas being addressed:

* A visible entrance with portico

* Improved parking area

* Extension of the secondary auditorium

* A larger men’s bathroom

* Extension of the auditorium space

* Enlarged kitchen space

* More storage and classrooms

* An activities hall and youth recreation building.

The process to accomplish the above will look something like this:

1) The Spiritual Leadership Team will discern the direction of the building program in consultation with the Facilities Team, followed by input from the Finance Team.

2) Ideas will then be presented to the team leaders, who, after consulting with their teams, will provide input.

3) A plan with several phases will come before the congregation for affirmation. Throughout the process, dialogue and discussion will be encouraged as people share thoughts and opinions with the Spiritual Leadership Team or any of the team leaders.  Also, the SLT will communicate with the congregation periodically as we pray and work through the process.

Even though there will be varying viewpoints about which phase should be first, eventually a decision will be made to move forward with the process. Even if it is not exactly what everyone may want, the congregation will be encouraged to accept the process and support the decision.

The Spiritual Leadership Team reminds us that as we anticipate these remodeling phases, buildings are just tools to aid ministry.  We want to maintain the focus of our ministry at PMC:

Inviting~Building~Equipping

Inviting people to know Christ

Building each other up in the faith

And equipping one another to serve, doing everything with prayer.

Let’s continue to pray for wisdom and discernment as together we envision the future of PMC and design the building/remodeling phases.  The SLT welcomes and invites your comments and insights.
