Spiritual Ministries
The basic purpose of our educational/spiritual ministry is to provide knowledge
of God through His Word, as provided in the Bible. Without this knowledge, we could not
truly worship God. Sunday School classes are provided for all age groups from nursery
through adult classes.

Junior Youth Fellowships -

provide the youth of the congregation with an opportunity to develop Christian character.
Membership in the Youth includes all high school youth who have reached the age of
14 and Jr. youth members are ages 12-13.
Girls' & Boys'
Club- To assist
in the Christian growth of our girls and boys, ages 8 through 12.
Annual Vacation Bible School
- To aid children in their spiritual growth.
Church Library
- To
provide constructive literature for life enrichment resources for study of the
Bible
Prayer Chain - Organized for the purpose of
interceding with God for the needs of the congregation and others.
Womens
Outreach- To
encourage women in their unique mission and service giftings in the life of the local
church, the community, and links to the broader, church-wide womens outreach
ministries. The women meet the second Tuesday of each month during the day
to quilt and make
items for the annual Virginia Relief Sale, which benefits Mennonite
Central Committee (MCC); the women also respond to needs in the church and community. There
also are times of Bible study and fellowship
luncheons.
Men's Prayer and Bible Study - Meet each Saturday
morning at 7 a.m. at the church for fellowship, Bible study and prayer.

Prison Ministries
-
Hebrews 13:3 encourages us to
bring
the Word of God to the men, women and young people incarcerated in
prison. Even though the open door has closed for this opportunity at
the local prisons, persons are involved in prison fellowship, grading
Bible Studies courses and as other opportunities arise through "We
Care" prison crusade, Angel Tree, Ride
for the Son, Elk Hill Boys Camp, etc.

Mennonite
Disaster Service is a channel through which various constituencies of
the Anabaptist church can respond to those affected by disasters in North
America. While our main focus is on clean up, repair and rebuilding
homes, this activity becomes a means of touching lives and helping people
regain faith and wholeness.
