congregation.

Groups:

Children’s
Ministry Team
(Nursery
– 8th grade): to
provide children’s Christian education and spiritual
growth opportunities.
Communications
Team: to
inform the congregation and the community of the work
of the Powhatan Mennonite Church, its services,
special events and projects.
Facilities Team:
to
organize and maintain an attractive facility.
Finance
Team:
to manage the funds of Powhatan Mennonite Church with
accuracy, integrity and clarity.
First
Impressions Team:
to initiate a friendly atmosphere in the congregation
with special attention to visitors.
Local
Outreach Team:
to encourage the church in reaching out to our
immediate community.
Missions
Team: to
initiate support for missions outside our immediate
community.
Multimedia
Team:
to operate, maintain and improve as necessary the
audio and video equipment of the church. The team will
also study and initiate new ways to use media in the
work of the congregation.
Prayer
Team:
to be a contact
for prayer concerns of the church
body and community. The team is to be made up
of people
who have a passion to pray and actively
to encourage and promote prayer in the life of
the congregation.
Spiritual
Leadership Team: to
lead the church in its God-given vision.
Women's
Ministry Team: (This
is a new team still under construction.)

prepare and plan worship services in coordination with
the Spiritual Leadership Team
Youth
Ministry Team:
to lead high school age youth in a dynamic
relationship with Jesus Christ through discipleship,
activities, fellowship, accountability, and
involvement in the life of the congregation.
