Alpha & Omega

 O Great God,

You who set the heavens in place

And formed the earth with a word.

Your power is displayed in every living thing.

The waters obey you.

The sun shines under your command.

You set the stars in their places,

And gave each one a name.

Your breath troubles the sea,

And your arm causes the mountains to quake.

The highest peak shudders before You and is made level.

Your love extends far past all mortal boundaries.

Your wisdom surpasses any human knowledge.

Your Word speaks all the mysteries of your faithfulness,

O Sovereign God.

You know each person before their birth.

Before the world was made,

You loved them.

Throughout the ages men have stood and fallen,

But you, O Lord, never change.

Your faithfulness withstands the ages.

Your holy wrath is just and righteous;

No man can stand under it.

Yet your mercy is equally powerful.

It is given freely, for the price has been paid.

May every living thing bow to the Holy of Holies.

May Your Name spread throughout the land.

May it be whispered with fear

and trembling and bended knee.

May it be shouted from the mountaintop with joy!

Your are the beginning,

O God, and You are

The end.
