There is still time to read a few good books before the spring rays drag you outdoors to catch up on your spring clean-up detail!

Children:

· The Very Best Book, the story of a young Arab shepherd boy who finds ancient scrolls in a  cave near the Dead Sea; the grandest scripture find of our times contains most of the Old Testament books of the Bible and are now known as The Dead Sea Scrolls.  This is an amazing story of God’s providence.

· The Story of the First Easter (Donation), an easy to read and understand retelling of the Easter story.

· A Wing and A Prayer, by Franklin Graham, an Operation Christmas Child Project story of a young orphan boy who receives a treasured Christmas box!

· Hind’s Feet on High Places, a lovely illustrated children’s version of the classic adult allegory and devotional by Hannah Hurnard.

· Papa’s Gift, the sweet story of a young child’s special relationship with a grandfather, his death, and the subsequent healing of the child’s heart.

· Just For Kids 31 Daily Devotions, a series of four devotionals.  These are simple and practical applications to assist children in understanding and developing important Christian character traits.

1. Volume 1: Kindness

2. Volume 2: Patience

3. Volume 3: Honesty

4. Volume 4: Sharing

· Jordan’s Hair, a cute book about a little boy who notices his hair and other physical attributes differ from the other kids at his school; the reconciliation of his discovery.

· So That’s What God Is Like, a sweet tale of a child and his grandmother; she draws beautiful, vivid word pictures of what God is like.

· Six Million Angels, by Chuck Colson and Mark Earley: True stories of children ministered to and touched by the Christmas Angel Tree program.

· I Trust My Church by Glendon Blosser:  Forty years of ministry experiences.

(Note: Glendon is Bertha Schaefer’s brother-in-law.  Pat Hertzler grew up under his pastoring    at  Zion Hill Mennonite Church)
