Keeping In Touch... Terrill and Amber Schrock-Uganda
Donna Wyatt-Montgomery, Alabama
Dear friends and family,
Hello from sunny Alabama. It has been in the 70’s this
week and since today is Christmas Somehow I don't think it will be a white one
this year.
As 2008 draws to a close and I reflect on the many blessings the Lord has provided for me I am filled with a grateful heart. I serve an awesome God. This point was driven home when I recently had the opportunity to view Louie Giglio’s “How Great Is Our God” tour on DVD. In it he spoke of how God breathed out the stars & put them all in their places and knows each one by name. How our largest star just recently found by scientists was many trillions times larger than our sun. And yet the same God who created it also created our bodies which are so fearfully and wonderfully made. I learned that God even hid His signature in the shape of a cross in a protein molecule called Laminin whose function it is to hold our bodies together. With a God that great I wonder why I even think to question Him on anything. Why do I try to govern my own life when He knows best and is even willing to show me the way? I will to let Him. Our classes at Tutwiler Prison and Montgomery Community Basic Institution have been good but are coming to a close for this quarter. The ladies who signed up for these classes really have a heart to learn more about this Lord who provided their salvation. Although the classes have dwindled in sizethe ones who were committed to coming have applied themselves and grown. I am so proud of them. This next week will be the end of our classes and Anna and I plan to pronounce a blessing on each one in the class. Please help me pray for these ladies as they study and apply Gods principals to their lives. Some of these ladies will never see the outside world and will by their own admission only leave in a pine box. This saddens me but I am encouraged by their determination not to give up but keep coming to church services and signing up for classes which prod them to grow spiritually. In a few short weeks we will enter a new quarter and new classes will begin. I look forward to learning along with the ladies. The annual Crusade will be here in less than one month and I am excited at the prospect of seeing some of you here for this great event. Those of you who are not able to attend please help us by praying for open hearts and for the Spirit of God to have free reign in each of the 17 prisons we will be going into during the 2009 Crusade. The entire We Care Staff will be stopping each week day at 10 am to pray as a group. Although we will be in different locations we will all be praying at the same time for God’s mighty power be shown at Crusade. I want to thank you for all your support. I count each one of you a partner with me in promoting the gospel in the Alabama women’s prisons.
Blessings to you for the coming year,
Donna Wyatt |
