Email from Andy Powell...

June 20, 2002

Greetings to the south lands. As the warm weather moves in up here in the north, so have the black flies and mosquitoes. And for every airplane-size mosquito, there are 13,000 black flies that just want to make you a walking itch. Other than those small annoyances, life is pretty good.

Right now we are preparing for several camps and retreats coming up in the next month. We are also getting set for the work crews to come and help us out a little by putting in a sliding board at the playground and building a shed and other such things. Impact North has also recently applied for some more land here at Stormer so we could put in a ball field, possibly a hockey rink, and some more cabins for camps. Please join in with us in prayer that our application will be seriously considered by MNR ( Ministry of Natural Resources, the people that control the land). And that God will provide the finances we need to buy the land and to rent or buy a bulldozer, cause there is a lot of bush to be cleared.

As for Kyle and me, we're still surviving off my cooking. Must not be too bad, hah? We're both enjoying all the friends and family that are coming to visit us this summer. Well, I had better go, since I have laundry to do and trees to cut down.

Andy

P.S. By the way, my e-mail address has changed back to goonybyrd@hotmail.com

Andy’s camp is across the bay from where they are sitting, just above Andy's head to the right.
