Rosedale Choral Camp

Last year Renel Kennell served as a counselor for the choral camp at Rosedale Bible College in Rosedale, Ohio, and had such a good time that she is going back and taking a group with her. Choral Camp is a one-week camp for children who have completed grades 2-8. The purpose of the camp is to encourage children to celebrate music.

A qualified staff of faculty teach part singing, sight reading, ear training, music theory, music composition, music appreciation and recorder/violin lessons. The campers experience dorm life, supervised recreation, art activities, campfire mediations and daily chapel. At the close of the week, parents and grandparents are invited to attend a recitation of learning.

Did You Know....

  • The first part of June, Gene and Pat Hertzler attended a Purina    meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the close of the Purina meeting they won the BIG prize when Pat’s name was drawn, winning a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico. While there they were able to attend a Major League ballgame between the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds with the Yankees winning!!!

  • Tommy, Susie Gonzalez and family traveled to Arizona in June. Dale Benson went along and was excited to visit his friends.

  • Ray Horst was installed as pastor of Trinity Mennonite Church on August 17th. Ray, Ruth and Michael Horst are from the Providence Mennonite Church in Chesapeake. Trinity will be joining Conservative Mennonite Conference.

  • Lorrie Schaefer wanted her younger girls (Leah, Tiffany and Devin) to have a camp experience. They invited 2 cousins (Rebecca Benson & Dawn Landis) and three friends (Bethany & Meredith Hertzler and Carmie Shult) who had never been away to camp to a four-day experience at their pond. They camped, cooked on the grill, swam, made crafts, built an awesome sand castle and had daily devotions. On Saturday the families of the girls came for a picnic supper and an evening of fun.
