Lehman-Stone

     Ivan & Joyce Lehman of Powhatan, VA, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carmen Rochelle Lehman to Jonathan Paul Stone, son of Stanford & Theresa Stone of Chesterfield, VA.

     Carmen & Jonathan are both graduates of Liberty University. Carmen is a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA, and Jonathan is a Microbiology Lab Technician in Bedford, VA.  A wedding is planned for October; date & location to be announced.

 

 

   High School Graduates….. Congratulations!

Meghan Schaefer

 

Meghan will be graduating with three other Homeschool seniors on May 24, 2008 at 2 PM at Hope Chapel in Amelia.

 Meghan is currently working for Hertzler Farm and Feed and is planning to go on a mission trip in August.

Leah Schaefer

 Leah will be graduating with three other Homeschool seniors on May 24, 2008 at 2 PM at Hope Chapel in Amelia.

 Leah is currently babysitting, cleaning, and doing some writing on the side.  She is planning to take a writing course this fall, as well as to help teach her nephew kindergarten.

 

Kyle Falt 

Kyle will be graduating on June 7, 2008 from Powhatan High School.  Kyle works as cashier at Kroger's in Midlothian.  This fall he will continue his automotive studies at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

Did You Know….

· Tim and Melody Althouse have announced the birth of their second daughter, Anna Naomi, born March 29, 2008.  She weighed 7 lbs, 11 ozs.  She is welcomed by a sister, Erin, and grandparents, Dan and Linda Althouse.  The Althouses were former members here at Powhatan.  Tim and Melody live in Washington, D.C.

· Casper M. Stine, father of Lorrie Schaefer passed away May 9, 2008 at 5 AM at the Lynchburg General Hospital due to heart disease.  He was buried in Victoria, VA where he and his wife, Lorraine, lived. They had four children, Casper, Teddy, Lorrie, and Betsy.

· Did you know the Sunday morning bulletin is on the church web page at www.pmchurch.net each week?  Normally it is posted on Friday evening, so those who are going out of town can check the announcements and schedule for the week.  The handouts for the Mere Christianity Sunday School class taught by Glen Landis, monthly calendar, and Menno Notes are also available online.
