Did You Know….

 · July 23-27 Leah Schaefer attended Conservative Mennonite Conference in Berlin, Ohio.  She was part of a quartet that provided special music from the Mennonite Hymnal and Harmonica Sacred.

· July 6-19 Tommy Dove and Kayley Kennell served as counselors at Choral Camp at Rosedale Bible College in Ohio.  Emily Hertzler attended as a student.  She and her roommates won the “cleanest room” award the first day.

· Amy Duncan spent the summer as camp counselor at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center.  Sam Moore and Rebecca Benson enjoyed a week there as campers.  Caleb Graber and Emily Woodson attended the four-day Kaleidoscope Camp.

· Rebekah Cloud has moved to Grantsville, MD, where she is working in the bakery at Casselman Inn, a bed and breakfast/restaurant/bakery complex.

· Sheila Schaefer has completed her time with  Family Life Ministries in Blue Ridge, GA.  She is presently staying with Donna Wyatt in Montgomery, AL, as she processes the next phase of  her life.

· Mildred, Ronnie, Dave and Nancy Moyer traveled to Tennessee for Eric Erb’s graduation from nursing school.  Eric is Paul and Esther Erb’s son; Mildred and Sylvanus’ grandson; and Ronnie, Dave and Nancy’s nephew.

 

     Weddings

· Jason Habel and Christina Goranson were married May 24 in Jamestown, NY.  They are residing in Henrico, VA.

· Scott Cloud and Amy Redmond were married  June 7 at First Baptist Church in Blountstown, FL.  Curtis Brenneman, Nathan Landis (usher), Sid & Jennifer Moyer, and Ben Powell (groomsman) attended the wedding.  Scott and Amy attend Red Oak Mennonite Church, and their address is 14922 SW Abe Springs Road, Blountstown, FL  32424.

· Matthew Hochstetler and Molly Capps  were married  July 18 at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Vienna, VA.  Matt’s parents,  Steve & Julie Hochstetler of Prospect, VA, are members of Trinity Mennonite Church and formerly attended PMC.  Matt and Molly are living in Fairfax where Matt is working was a landscaper and Molly is a kindergarten/first grade teacher.

· Myron Shenk and Ashley Burruss were married July 19 at Clover Forest Plantation in Goochland.  They are living in Powhatan and attend Powhatan Community Church.  Myron, son of Philip Shenk, is working in the office for Dee Shoring, a commercial concrete company in Richmond. 

 

    Births

 · Clyde and  Christin Kirby announce the birth of Timothy Clyde on July 16.  The Kirbys live in Reedville, VA.

· Brandon and Candace Yoder announce the birth of their second son, Gibson Stone,  born July 2..  He is welcomed by a brother, Gavin, and grandparents Richard & Brenda Walton of Powhatan and Jonathan & Charity Yoder of Farmville.

· Matthew and Kendall  Nice announce the birth of a daughter, Georgia  Cheri, on June 5.   Matthew is the son of Larry & Tricia Nice and grandson of Wally & Dorcas Schaefer.  Matthew and Kendall attend Powhatan Community Church.

  

Our new church directory…….

         …..is now available in the church office for $8.00 each. 

             The 3-ring binder is a new style of directory and allows for easy updating of information.  The directory is filled with helpful information such as our new team structure, addresses/phone numbers/email addresses/phone tree/prayer chain list, college students, care groups, Sunday School teachers, family information/pictures, and our church history.  

The compilation is a project of the Communications Team.
