                     Mission News  

Gene and Leah Schaefer return from Israel Monday night, arriving in Baltimore at 9:53. 

Brady and Crystal Hochstetler return from Tibet on Friday.  Continue to pray for traveling mercies and for eternal fruit in their lives and in the lives of those among whom they ministered and shared Christ’s love.

Announcements  

Welcome to Ed and Doris Ranck, who are serving with the We Care Program in Atmore, Alabama.  Thanks for being our hands and feet and hearts in that life-giving prison ministry!

Team Leaders Meeting will be Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.  If you are unable to attend, please send a representative from your team.

Menno Notes: Please give Pat Hertzler items for the next edition of our church newsletter by next Sunday, October 12.

Elders: Please be in prayer about selection of elders.  The process will begin in the next few weeks when the Elder Selection Team requests suggestions from the congregation. 

Youth Sunday: Remember to pray for our youth as they prepare the morning worship service for next Sunday.  During the service and a fellowship meal following, the youth and congregation will have an opportunity to thank Andy and Amanda Powell for their years of service as youth sponsors.

The Prayer Team would like to emphasize praise and thanksgiving during the months of October and November at our Thursday night prayer meetings.  We are also asking people to come with a scripture of praise and a testimony of thanksgiving to share along with our regular prayer requests.  Everyone is welcome.

Evening Program: Be sure to mark your calendar for October 26, when Roy Hange, pastor of Charlottesville Mennonite Church, will speak on “A Faithful Response to Islamic/Christian Relations in the World Today.”
