| Well,
we have been very busy the last week or so.
With Leah and Dad here for only a short time, we wanted to cram in
as much as we could get in. It
was kind of a joke that they could sleep when they got on the plane to go
home because we didn't have time to even go to bed at night.
Nah...of course we are letting them sleep. It is going to be really
hard to see them go back home, but I am so thankful that the Father made
it possible for them to both come and experience this with me.
We are planning to pick grapes again tomorrow; and you
might be thinking "man, they must really be getting tired of picking
grapes," but actually the last week we have been touring with all the
new people that are staying for two weeks. Also we have had several
very interesting meetings with some of the Jews that are believers here.
They have such powerful testimonies of how Christ has worked in their
lives. So, yeah, it will be nice to get back to putting in a hard day’s
work for a change.
The weather is cooling down a lot here in these last couple weeks. Usually when we go to the vineyard, we wake up really early and work the whole day. The past couple of times we have done this, we actually started out wearing light jackets, but by lunchtime it gets pretty hot. When we are in the vineyard, we wear lots of sunscreen. Thank you all for your continued prayers while I am here and I love to get emails so anytime you don't have anything pressing, feel free to drop me a note and I will write back. I love all you guys and can't wait to share with you when I come home. |

P.S.
Oh yeah I almost forgot! When we went to Jerusalem the other day, Leah
and I got to ride a camel! It was really fun and not at all like riding a horse.
I thought you might find this interesting.
Note:
Meghan is in Israel for 3 months and will be coming home November
15.

Dad and I went to Israel
for two weeks to join Meghan, the Waller family and others in helping a
local farmer, Nir, with his grape harvest on Har Brochah, the Mountain of
Blessing, also known as Mount Girizim. We actually only picked two of the days we were there. The first day we picked a ton and the second time, with some help from a group from a local German community, we picked over five tons.
The rest of the time we visited many Biblical sites such as Shiloh,
Shechem, the Dead Sea, En Ghedi, and the Mount of Olives where we were
able to look out over the city of Jerusalem and see the Golden Gate to
which scripture says Jesus will return.
We also went to the Wailing Wall and were able to pray alongside
some of the Jewish people, rode on a boat on the Sea of Galilee and had a
time of singing and worship. We visited a Holocaust museum and talked with
survivors and had a worship service in an olive grove with an Arab
believer. |
I am really thankful for the opportunity to go to Israel, not only to see
the Holy Land but also to meet the Israelis and get a better understanding of
the lives of God’s chosen people. God
really opened my heart and eyes to many new and wonderful truths about His
people and I hope I will be able to return next year.
Thanks to everyone who prayed for us and who are continuing to pray for
Meghan.
